HCC - 09/26 - Provision of Reablement Services

Hertfordshire County Council

A public procurement notice being reviewed against care-provider evidence

Opportunity overview

Hertfordshire County Council is currently out to procurement for the Provision of Reablement Services. Reablement Services provide short-term support to Individuals in their homes. This can be following hospital discharge, illness, or acute episode, or for people who are new to care. Reablement Services aim to restore confidence and independence. The Council takes a “Reablement First” approach meaning that everyone new to care is considered for the service and should only be opted out where Reablement is not deemed to be the appropriate service. These services are provided for up to four weeks (six in exceptional circumstances), are non-chargeable and are delivered without a Care Act eligibility assessment, helping to prevent long-term dependency. There will be one Reablement Provider for each lot area. A maximum of 4 lots will be awarded to a single Reablement Provider. These Services are being tendered under 11 lots in line with the Unitary Authority boundaries as outlined in the table below: Lot number Lot Title Lot 1 Central 1 (Welwyn Hatfield) Lot 2 Central 2 (Stevenage) Lot 3 East Brox 1 (Broxbourne) Lot 4 East Brox 2 (East Herts) Lot 5 SW 1 (Three Rivers) Lot 6 SW 2 (Watford) Lot 7 SW 3 (Hertsmere) Lot 8 West 1 (Dacorum West) Lot 9 West 2 (Dacorum East) Lot 10 West 3 (St Albans South) Lot 11 West 4 (St Albans North) Full details are in the Specification, Schedule 1 of the Contract document. TenderLab qualification first

Before we write, we establish whether the opportunity fits.

We examine the published participation conditions, service scope, geography, regulatory position, available evidence, mobilisation demands and commercial exposure with your team. We only confirm a full tender-writing engagement when the available information supports a responsible view that the provider meets the tender requirements.

If HCC - 09/26 - Provision of Reablement Services is a credible fit, we can map the scored requirements, gather operational evidence and build the response around the buyer documents. The qualification check and any writing support do not guarantee an award; the contracting authority makes the final decision.
