View ServiceSuccess Isn't Luck. It's a Science.
Every year, hundreds of care providers invest immense effort into tender responses, yet many fail to secure the contract. The reason isn't a lack of quality care — it's because winning a tender is a precise science that most are simply guessing at.
Our unique methodology combines two exclusive advantages: the direct perspective of evaluators who mark the responses and deep operational care management expertise. This fusion is why our win rate remains unmatched in the industry.
Strategic Intelligence
Data-driven insights to position your bid competitively and maximise scoring potential.
Collaborative Discovery
We work closely with you to uncover key strengths and align your response with requirements.
Partner Success
Focused on long-term wins, we support your growth with consistent tender success.
Other firms write tenders.
We engineer them.
A four-stage process built on evaluator intelligence and evidence precision. Every step exists because evaluators told us it matters.
Specification Intelligence
Full specification analysis before a word is written. Every evaluator criterion extracted, weighted, and mapped to the question structure.
Framework-First Drafting
Each response is drafted against our 20-criterion scoring framework built from real evaluator feedback across 200+ submissions.
Evidence Calibration
Named staff. Specific case examples. Measurable outcomes. Dated policies. Every criterion that evaluators mark gets addressed precisely.
Quality Gate
No response leaves without scoring 4 or above on every criterion. The gate is not a review. It is a hard stop. If it does not pass, it does not go.
Real Results from Real Clients
We help care providers turn average bids into winning submissions.
“Really impressed with Tender Lab. I was about to bid for a tender, but they honestly told me I wouldn’t qualify because my CQC rating was “Requires Improvement” and the contract needed “Good.” They could have taken my money and let me bid — instead they told me the truth. Even better, they found me a tender I could bid on, and we’re working on it now. Happy with the progress and the team. Highly recommended.”
“We were struggling to compete against national chains. TenderLab helped us position our local expertise and community relationships as genuine competitive advantages. We now win 8 out of 10 tenders we submit.”
“We’re a Black-led care company and a lot of the bid support we’d tried before just didn’t get our story or how to position our community work as an asset. The team here understood it without me having to explain.”
“Our previous consultant wrote generic stuff and we lost three contracts back to back and we came to you on a colleague's recommendation. The difference is you ask proper questions about how we actually run the service and how we can transform this into a proper tender response, which has worked on multiple contracts we've now got. Highly recommended.”
“I honestly didn’t think we’d qualify for the framework given our turnover, but they said let’s have a look anyway and we got on.. I'm still not sure how they did so I'm happy to give them a review”
Popular Questions & Answers
No sales copy. The answers below are what a provider should know before deciding whether to work with TenderLab.
How does the 92% win rate hold up across different councils?▾
The 92% is calculated across 200+ submissions spanning domiciliary care, supported living, residential, step-down, and children's services across multiple local authorities including Bradford, West Sussex, Worcestershire, Dudley, Buckinghamshire, and NHS frameworks. It is not a figure from a single good run. The methodology works because it is built on pattern recognition across a consistent, single-sector data set.
We already have draft responses. Can TenderLab work from them?▾
Yes. Existing drafts are scored against the evaluator framework first. What passes, stays. What does not, gets rewritten. The most common outcome is a partial rewrite — the operational knowledge in your draft is valuable; the structure, evidence, and language typically need recalibrating against the mark sheet. You will receive a tracked version showing exactly what changed and why.
What is the turnaround time for a full submission?▾
Standard turnaround is 5 to 10 working days from receipt of your company information and the full tender documents. Rush submissions (2 to 4 working days) are available at additional cost and depend on current capacity. The single most important step is sending the ITT as early as possible after the tender is released — not 72 hours before the deadline.
What if we score below threshold after you've written it?▾
It has happened in 11% of submissions. In every case, TenderLab provides a full post-result analysis at no additional cost — mapping evaluator feedback against the scoring framework to identify the specific gap. In several cases, re-submissions or appeals have been successful as a direct result of this analysis.
We're a small provider. Is TenderLab right for us?▾
The majority of TenderLab clients are owner-managed providers with between 1 and 5 registered locations. The practice was built for organisations where a single contract win represents material growth — not for care corporates with internal bid teams. Send us the ITT and we will assess it. If TenderLab is not the right fit, we will tell you.
